With effect from 3rd February 2020, the CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) will replace the CS-Foundation Programme.
Eligibility Conditions:
Both students seeking admission to the Company Secretary Course will be required to pass the CSEET, and the Class 12th Certificate will be required to appear in the CSEET. From February 3, 2020, all students seeking admission to the Company Secretary Course, including graduates and postgraduates, will be eligible to pass the CSEET. A applicant who has passed or is currently taking the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination or an equivalent examination is entitled to take the CSEET. Both graduates and postgraduates who were previously qualified for direct admission to the CS Executive Programme must now pass the CSEET in order to be considered for admission to the Executive Programme. Except for a few exempted types of candidates, passing the CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is mandatory for all candidates to register for the CS Executive Programme. Exemptions from CSEET: Candidates who have completed the CS Foundation Programme are excluded from CSEET and do not have to pay an exemption charge. Candidates who have passed the Final Examination of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and/or The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are excluded from CSEET and must pay an exemption fee of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only) at the time of admission to the CS Executive Programme. Exam Pattern of CSEET the Institute will offer the CS Executive Entrance Exam, which will consist of Objective Type /Multiple Choice Questions as well as a viva-voce to assess listening, written communication, and oral communication skills. The CS Executive Entrance Test consists of four papers. Each paper contains one or more objective form multiple choice questions with four choices and one correct answer. The Test will last 120 minutes, with a 15-minute viva-voce on Presentation and Communication Skills. The CSEET will not have any negative marking. Mode & Duration of the CSEET: It is mainly a computer-based test (CBT), and the test will last 120 minutes and will be held at specified test centres. Paper 1: Business Communication – 50 Marks
Paper 2: Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning – 50 Marks
Paper 3: Economic and Business Environment – 50 Marks
Paper 4: Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills (Viva-Voce) – 50 Marks
Note: The CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) will be held on a single day as follows:
a) 120-minute computer-based test with four sections:
(i) business communication;
(ii) legal aptitude and logical reasoning;
(iii) economic and business environment; and
(iv) current affairs.
b) 15-minute Viva Voce on “Presentation and Communication Skills”: The Presentation and Communication Skills (Viva Voce) test of 15 minutes for 30 marks will be conducted concurrently with or immediately following the MCQ-based CBT via online mode using artificial intelligence (AI) or through recoded videos at the designated Test Centres.
CSEET’s Applicability: All candidates registered under Study Program prior to 3rd February, 2020 under Syllabus (2017) will be examined under Study Program before the validity of their registration/passing of review, whichever comes first. The validity of the CSEET Pass Certificate to register for the CS Executive Programme is only one year from the date of the CSEET result. The date of the CSEET result should not be more than one year prior to the date of such submission for registration in the CS Executive Programme. It ensures that a CS student who has passed the CSEET must enrol in the CS Executive Programme within ONE YEAR of receiving their results. If the student fails/does not report, he or she must retake the CSEET and pass it. Criteria for Passing the CSEET: Candidates would be declared ‘PASS’ in CSEET if they reach 40 percent in each paper and 50 percent in the aggregate. There are no negative marks in any paper for incorrect answers. The final score will be calculated by adding the marks obtained by candidates in both tests (CBT and Viva-Voce) out of a possible total of 200 marks. Registration is open from the 16th of April to the 15th of June.

Eligibility to Register and Appear for CS Professional Programme Exam:
Furthermore, students enrolled in the Professional Syllabus must pass a Pre-Examination Test administered by the ICSI in order to be able to participate in and take the Professional Exams. Criteria for passing: 40% in each Paper, 50% aggregate in each Group, or both Groups.
Registration for the Professional Programme is valid for a period of five years from the date of registration. Registration with the option of renewing if necessary. Exams are held twice a year, in June and December.
The New Syllabus will include nine papers at the Professional Program divided into THREE Modules: Modules 1 2 and 3, which are listed below:
